Rangwasa Jaivik Gram Foundation has trained more than 5000 farmers and students in sustainable agriculture practices that involve primary, secondary and tertiary agriculture.

Multiple Cropping is known to improve the soil quality and fertility. Also, different crops ripen at different times leading to increased income for farmers. We grow multiple crops including various types millets, rice, sorghum, wheat, pulses, legumes, and various types of vegetables on the same field.

We have more than 1500 varieties of trees in eight acres of our farm. These include fruit trees such as papaya, mango, guava, pomegranate, jamun, jujubes, kavit, tamarind etc. and flower trees such as champa, gul mohar, kaner, tesu, akashneem, bakayan, arandi etc. Besides these we also have neem, bamboo, sagwan, etc.

 Our initiatives have attracted visits from several international delegations from countries like Sweden, Turkey, Uganda and delegates from 40 different nations who were attending the Round square conference held at Indore, MP in the year 2019.

Rainwater Harvest

The organization contributed to an initiative called “Jaivik Setu” that provides a platform for organic farmers to sell their produce, and value added products derived from it, directly to the consumers in order to improve their income.

We have built a pond with a capacity of around 100 KL. This pond is connected to various canals that run through the whole field for collection of rainwater. This water is then used for irrigation.
